45 Center Face

Description

Old school B1: crimpy, tall and technical. I would rarely see this problem attempted. The line is obvious and intimidating. Begin by grabbing two thin and bitey crimps which are at the same level. Highstep and reach way up to the really cool undercling above. Match and stand up, then deal with the slopey topout which practically guarantees some shivering. A bit of a sandbag perhaps. This problem shares a lot of full value characteristics with the Breadloaf Arete.

Location

Center of the tall vertical face right of the 45 overhang.

Protection

I prefer more than one pad and a spot.
