One For All may be slightly harder (thinner moves) than the routes on either side. At the 4th bolt, angle up and right to the anchors below the big roof. These are all good beginner climbs.

This is steeper and more difficult than the slab routes to the right. Climb through 3 overhangs on big holds. It might be the best route on the cliff. This required removal of several loose blocks.

Hard boulder problem moves lead through the initial bulge. Easy climbing leads to a steep bulge on big holds.

It's actually a lot harder.

The 1st pitch climbs the slanting roof above

and is about 5.10b.

The 2nd pitch (10+) has a crux above the belay and one just before the anchors. Follow line of bolts on the left side of the final roof. Realize the 10b/c consensus rating is because many people only do the 1st pitch and rate it 10a. The 2nd pitch is harder. As someone indicated, they did it in 1 long pitch, but there will be tremendous rope drag at the top crux.

A 60m rope will make it to the ground on rappel. You probably cannot lower because of abrasion. Because of current river noise, you will not be able to hear the leader. This may change by season. Belaying from the midway anchors, you will not be able to see the leader. Have a plan in advance. The 1st pitch is very good on its own, and you can lower to the ground.

y following bolts up, then right through the overhang (crux). Then follow the left line of bolts above.

The name says it all. Start right off the road bed. Move slightly right at the 2nd bolt.

Another boulder problem start leads to easier climbing above.

East Colfax starts out with some easy climbing that leads to a small, overhanging crux section, continues on some easier terrain that leads to more balanced climbing, and finishes on some beautiful sidepulls over a small roof to get to the anchors. If you diverge from the route, you may encounter not so good rock.

This is a relatively new route at East Colfax.  It's worth posting some info in case beginners jump on it, because there are some loose things and you may want gear.  A bunch of folks were on it already, some pulling off blocks...and there is a scary block on the right.  Now, a first bolt has been added.

Climb from the right over a small bulge. Early on before the first bolt was placed, some started from the left on a ramp where one could get a yellow Alien in a left-facing flake.  Move up to a tiny overlap to the 1st bolt.  You can go left, over, or right of a small tree.  Continue up a slab passing a few bolts.  You can get a large purple Alien (~#0.75 or #1 Camalot size) before tiny runout to the last bolt.  Beware of a large, loose block on the right between the 2nd-to-last and last bolt.  Staying left is safer.  Clip the 2 bolt anchor with chains.

: the first 4 bolts were placed, and then they ran out of battery power.  The cleaning is in progress.  The plan is to extend it past the roof.

Beware on your drive up the canyon or you will understand how this climb was named. Moderate climbing leads to thin moves near the top.

Climb the intimidating looking, overhanging dihedral on big holds with the crux at the 4th bolt. Easy climbing leads left to a slabby finish. An alternate finish at a similar grade (First Planet) can be found by climbing to the right to finish on

Planet Earth

. This is quite good.

This has interesting climbing marred only by some ledges.

This is certainly the best easy route in the area. The holds are incredible. I was laughing the whole way. It can be used to access the harder routes for top ropes for beginners. This should be popular.

This is an obvious line just to the right of

I Did! I Did!

and comes perilously close to that line.  In fact, it is entirely possible that this is the route used to access the top of this small buttress.  It takes a bit of effort to keep it distinct up near the top, perhaps bumping it to 5.5 or 5.6 if you try to stay off it.

Go up the loose slope.  Climb a crack/dihedral past a bush.  Avoid clipping the bolts. Finish to the top of the buttress.  Downclimb to the anchor bolts down and right.

Wild Bore

, we have a slabuless route that show cases two main crux sections! I'll just say there's one crux down low with another just past the mid-point before you pull onto a rest ledge before moving up to the chains! This is a super fun line, and it is great for new leaders as I put in a good deal of tightly spaced bolts through both crux sections! I love this slab and found it to be a worthwhile wall to climb on! I will add some beat photos and some climb pics when I get a chance! Fun line!

Awkward/slopy holds lead through the initial overhang. Then tackle the steep rock/overhang above(crux).

Like a wild bore, you must bust up the center of the west-facing slab on the East Colfax formation.  Enjoy moderate climbing until you hit a closely bolted headwall section.  Get a good rest, and like a wild bore, grunt your way up and over the headwall onto a nice ledge!!  From here, find your way up the bolt line to the anchors of this fresh new line!!!

This is excellent face/slab climbing on good rock leads to the crux at the top. If it seems hard, you are missing the sequence.

This is a more-difficult-than-it-looks crack system to the left of

Start down and left at an obvious crack going up to a nook.  Place pro with long sling(s), and make a slightly precarious traverse (crux) right to gain the obvious crack system.  Continue upwards with face holds and occasionally funky jams to finish in a wider slot.  A directional off the tree to the left (2 x 48" slings) may be nice for the follower.  Use the anchor bolts down and right as for

Climb big holds at a small, left-facing corner, cheating as much right as you want. Easy climbing leads to a steep finish on incut holds.

. It has a powerful move at the lip. Disregard the Xs on the rock near the top. They are solid and do not need to be used anyway.

Hunt came out from the east coast to visit his daughter in Boulder, and we had a party. Mount the large boulder and follow bolts straight up on big holds to the crux roof. This has fun moves.
