Description
[Edit]The Crying Dinosaur formation resides on the south side of Siphon Draw, sandwiched between high canyon walls just off the main hiking trail headed for the Flatiron high above. When seen from the right angle (from far away), the formation is supposed to look somewhat like a dinosaur’s head. The high walls, usually shade the formation during the Supes climbing season, making it somewhat difficult to identify from the straight-on view. However, a little strategic viewing on the hike into the gully can save you some work when trying to find the pinnacle during the last part of the approach.
Regular Route, P3 cl.4
