Description
[Edit]Coal Wall gets its name not only because it's in coal country, but also because of the black dust that settles on the crag, likely from the above railroad. However, don't let this deter you - railroad traffic has since come to a halt because of the decline in the coal industry. This area offers some moderate climbing right off the river. The sport climbing is also directly beside the slightly upstream deep water soloing, cliff jumping, and rope swing. Please consider taking a trash bag and giving the area some TLC on your way out.
