Description
[Edit]This small boulder is a nice stop if you are looking to check out all of the seaside climbing Narragansett has to offer or if you just wanted to hang out along the coast for a while and quickly cruise up a few easy lines, happily shaded from the summertime sun. Newtown Rock boasts nothing that will blow your socks off, but it has a few solid climbs at a lower grade. It is a great spot for bringing newer climbers as the problems are very short, they generally have positive holds to work with, and the downclimb is just walking around the back of the boulder.
