Devil's Rock
Description
[Edit]Located on the "Massapoag Trail" in Sharon, you'll find Devil's Rock: a 20+ foot glacial erratic that features a giant slab, a very tall, vertical wall, and more. Right next to the behemoth Devil is a pair of smaller boulders, one with a very nice looking overhung roof with an extremely sketchy landing.
All of the rocks should be cleaned much more since moss, lichen, weeds, and little branches definitely block a bunch of potential lines.
This rock is decently well known among crunchy nature folk in Sharon. There are two very old ropes attached to the top of Devil's Rock. These ropes are hung down the giant slab. Random hikers climb up the slab while holding the ropes. This was a lot of fun as a 10 year old local, but ditching the ropes proves better.
