Sit start with your fingers in the small crack on either side of the chip. From there, bring your left foot up to the same shelf as your fingers while reaching up around the side with your left hand. Bring your other foot up to match while reaching up to the top of the boulder. Match hands, and then smear on the boulder to step up. Pull hard to finish.

Walk in the Woods

Start on the right arete, and go up and left on a series of good holds.

 This was the only route I felt comfortable doing in my sneakers the day I stumbled upon the boulder. It's also my preferred downclimb.

Head straight up the overhang. Start by reaching up to the semi-horizontal crack. Get your feet up until you can get a finger jam in the start of the upper, vertical crack. Get a really high right foot, and pull hard to get on top.

Purple = hand, red = foot.Place one hand on each bottom purple spot to start. Put your left foot on the bottom nub, pull into rock bringing your right foot up to the small ledge. Bump your left hand to the bottom of 3-hold cluster and then your right hand to the top right of that set. There is a small thump catch to help with that hold. Bring your left foot and left hand up before bumping ryour ight hand out to a final purple hold. Cross your left foot through to maneuver your feet over before topping out.

I could only start it by getting my left foot up on a good ledge and then pushing up quickly and trying to catch thin crimps before I tipped back.

Start with both of your hands in the crack in the “o” in “momma”. Pull up and to the right to a small crimp, and get a high right foot to the right of the crack. Use your left hand to press on a small sloper above the starting hold, and bring your left foot up just below the “o” in “loves”. The finish should top out in the center of the boulder.

Start on the jug sidepull under the edge of the overhang. Step up, and reach over the top to the crack, then walk up.

Sit start matched on a left-facing crimp rail (underlined in red in the photo). Move up right to a crimp (underlined in blue), and get a high left foot to rock up on a slabby arête.

Step up into the undercling above the 3rd "m" in "Momma," and reach up to a small bulge on top of the boulder. Work your feet up, and get your other hand up to the top.

Purple = hand, red = foot.This begins with a 2 hand sidepull start with your body to the left of the hold. Get your left foot on the bottom, angled face, and then step up, bringing right foot to bottom of the 3 circles. Boost up, grabbing the small pinch up to the right. Cross your left foot through to a spot just above your right foot, then move your right foot to be on the face just to the right of the crack. Boost out left to grab a jug far out (hard for short people). Shift your left foot over to the small ledge, and bring your right foot up crutched high to the nub by your crotch. From there, grab the top with your right hand, and top out.

Walk in the Woods has nice slab climbing up the right side of the slab. The difficulty varies depending on whether or not you use the arete.

Located in the middle of the Willard's Woods conservation area of Lexington, there is a single decent-sized boulder with a couple of problems on it!
