Roughly 100 yards up and right of Owl Rock is another small, south-facing crag. The cliff has an obvious left-facing corner in the left-center that leads to a roof, an obvious crack and just right, an obvious right-facing corner.This route climbs the central, slightly right-trending crack, which is mostly on grey rock.

From the start of Nightstalker, scoot under a boulder (or walk around the outside of said boulder) and then walk along the base of the cliff for about 20 feet. Directly above this spot, is a small face with a series of flakes/cracks that lead to a wider crack and a rounded summit. Climb up along these flakes and cracks to the summit.

Stem up to first bolt and clip before moving onto slab (under 5'8" may find this difficult). Slab moves to small tree above then traverse left to second bolt. Traverse further left to where wide right-leaning crack meets thinner left-leaning crack. Make a couple of moves up into left-leaning crack before heading straight up to chickenheads. Two more bolts are found higher up the face in areas short on slingable chickenheads.

Climb the low angle ramp leading to the overhung arete on the back of the formation. Either mantle the weird ledge (hand size cams would protect this move) or chimney up to the ledge from the left side. Climb the overhung arete doing big moves between big holds. Pumpy and sport-bolted

Pass by the dead tree and scramble up the easy gully passing a live tree.  Not much further and the terrain steepens and pro becomes desirable; this is probably a good point to set the belay.  Tackle the steeper terrain while watching out for loose/crumbling rock.  Surmount a ledge on the climber's right of the summit rock; this ledge is visible from ground level.  A large loop of cord or webbing may be useful for pro.  Finally climb left onto the summit rock and then run it out up to the anchors of Nightstalker. 

  Bob Kerry's Backcountry Rockclimbing in Southern Arizona has a description of Nightstalker that mentions "an old route up the east side [of Owl Rock] which is more of a mountaineering affair."  This may or may not be that route.
