Description
Thin crack set back in last alcove of solid rock. Black patina meets lighter rock. Above the recess is white. Sweet alabaster goodness...a cave like limestone but likely 'caliche' covered basalt. Starts in nice short fingers to solid undercling and finishes in short flared crack on right. Solid pro until the exit. Loose rim.
Location
Far right on upper tier. Scramble up on higher bench (200 meters north of Black Mamba). White cave. 'White Riot', I wanna riot, white riot a riot of my own...
Lyrically, the song is about class economics and race and thus proved controversial: many people thought it was advocating a kind of race war. Rather, lyricist Joe Strummer was trying to appeal to white youths to find a worthy cause to riot, as he felt blacks in the UK already had. It contains a positive message in the lines "Are you taking over / Or are you taking orders? / Are you going backwards / Or are you going forwards?"
Protection
On sight. Great gear, fingers to hand sized pro. No anchors. Juniper tree about 40 ft. upslope from rim can be used. Takes you to the car if parked up top.
