Description

This is the obvious splitter that goes through the roof. Starts out with a nice finger section (Caution, the block that forms the right side of the finger crack doesn't feel completely attached. It seems solid to use for holds but falling on gear could potentially move it...), then goes through two bulges on good hands with a few face holds. The crux comes surmounting the final bulge using the crack and some thin face holds out left. Shares anchor with "Passers-by".

Location

This route is located at the very north end of the Mezzanines where it rounds the corner into Jumpoff Canyon. Park at the Jumpoff Canyon trailhead and take the Jumpoff South trail to where it meets the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Follow the BST north to where it approaches the large, brown gneiss buttress. Leave the trail here aiming for the juniper trees above the buttress, then follow a thin line of quartzite talus to where it meets the cliffs above. Traverse north around the bottom of the cliffs and continue to the apex of the white, gneiss talus. The crag is the obvious overhanging gneiss wall to the right (see photo).

Protection

A single rack from #0.3 to a #3 or #4 C4.
