Description
Bad Crack starts in the middle of the wall and climbs the largest, most prominent crack splitting the buttress. Start on the face to the right of the wide crack or begin directly in the crack/chimney. If you choose to use the face, climb until you reach a horizontal break, then move left and join the crack. Continue to follow the crack to the top or shorten the journey by breaking right to the
Muffin Top
anchor. A bit of a grunt at the bottom, this line is best left for the Greg Lowe aficionados!
If you follow the old, original line, climb to the top of the buttress, build an anchor, rap from Stretch Marks or down climb to the north.
Location
The tallest, most prominent crack at the Upper Breadloaves - West (Very close to the road, 50 feet from road).
Protection
A varied selection of gear including some very large pieces for the bottom. Slings and a cordelette if you intend to climb to the top of the buttress.
