Description

This is the loose blocky chimney in the corner of the alcove. With a cleaning it might just be fun. In it's present state I Have to say, sadly, don't bother. We climbed it in a fit of excitement when it was soaking wet. Although it was cool in a way, I guess my lead was a bad call even though I pulled through. I couldn't find protection aside from a VERY tipped out #6 cam for the crux exit and the lichen was comically slippery...If my life didn't depend on friction. Sometimes simply surviving isn't enough. Next time I hope I have the presence of mind to wait until it's dry, clean it and make it feel good. You think I will? Or will I get up to my old tricks again?

Location

The chimney in the corner of the alcove.

Protection

gear to a tree/biner anchor.
