Description

This climb was supposed to be casual, like 5.9 or easier, but instead provides for thoughtful, interesting, and challenging climbing.

Start by climbing the smooth face with the splitter crack to the left of the wide crack formed between the wall and small pillar of rock. The first bolt is high so stick clip it, plug a green Camalot into the crack at the start or solo the start on moderate terrain to the bolt. Above the first bolt, make use of some interesting pocket features on the face as well as big holds on the arête to climb to the second bolt and then pull on to the south facing slab below the third bolt. Clip the third bolt and move through the overhang before encountering the crux moves at the fourth and final bolt. Finish with some easier, slab moves before finishing on a small stance with the anchor.

Location

The furthest right route. Start by climbing the smooth face with the splitter crack to the left of the wide crack formed between the wall and small pillar of rock.

Protection

4 bolts plus anchor with an optional cam placement (#0.75 Camalot) before the first bolt.
