Leg Stretch

Description

On the North Face of Split Rock in between "The Ramp" and "Center Crack" there is a somewhat blank bit of wall. There are serious crimps at different points though as you get closer to the top you might find one good hand-hold (and then a good foot-hold as you go past) on your way up. To the right of the "North Face Arete" this is definitely the most challenging section mainly because the wall is somewhat bare. Enjoy! Called it Leg Stretch because the route really forces you to spread out as you go up.

Location

I started from the "Center Crack" position and traversed to the left about three to four feet, this pretty well lines you up with the route. Then follow a straight line up making sure you don't run into the "Ramp" holds.

Protection

Set a few slings or a long bit of webbing (I used 30') on the choc stone in the crack with additional part of the anchor in one of the drilled holes. It is not a perfect anchor as you will be at somewhat of an angle but it is still very safe.
