The Walrus

FA 1972, C.Parker & L.Treiber.

Description

Stem grungy chimney as it narrows considerably past small, loose chockstone. Growl, grunt, rasp and snort as you loquaciously waddle through the tight upper squeeze. Feel reborn, perhaps barking like a baby Pinniped, after flopping onto the first ledge. Continue up right-arching finger crack to large horizontal ledge. Traverse left, then up through some easier shelves west to the old anchors.

Location

Route starts at The Iceberg's ESE corner at the obvious gap.

Protection

No pro down low. Small to medium cams for crack and ledge directional above chimney. Single line rap east.
