Stand-start with left hand on jug flake and right hand anywhere on the arete. Slap and heel-hook your way up some of the best compression moves at the Bald. At the lip, most use a left heel (committing and insecure) to tackle the challenging mantle crux. Lots of pads/spotters are likely required to climb this safely if V8 is anywhere near one’s limit!

Walk past the 45 degree boulder heading West (away from parking lot, toward Hanging Chain). It is the obvious large block with a beautiful arete feature and scary-looking slab topout.

In my opinion, 8+ pads and at least two spotters to make this “safe”
