Hop Stoopid

Crimp, pocket, scoop, runnel, chert.  You'll find a little of everything on this route.  Begin with a low first bolt on blue face, down and right of the Hop Rising arete.  The line goes straight up to a midway point, then curves sharply right at a scoop with a rail.  Scratch your head and ponder that abrupt change in the bolt line, or just Hop on and see what happens when you hit it!

Note that there's a Hop Stoopid in the Limestone Bible and a Hop Stupid in the Goss guide with conflicting details.  I believe the description and info entered here are accurate, but your corrections are welcome.  The grade given is 11b, but it could be debated as closer to 11a.

The meeting point of Lower and Upper Hop Garden forms a small alcove. Hop Stoopid starts on the left side. This is the first climb on Upper Hop Garden, and it's just down and right of the Hop Rising arete.
