Tunxis Obscurity

Overhanging, fairly strenuous to place gear for the grade. The crux is figuring out what gear is good and what is suspect and worthless. Classic, if you like to climb obscure rock with an uncertain outcome of self preservation.

Left side of crag, up face to crack to wide crack.

Single cams up to #5 plus normal rack. #5 in large horizontal about 10 feet up protects ground fall. a #3 and #4 useful further up in horizontals. Use caution,if leading, as rock quality is not always the best.
