Surprise

Start standing with right hand on the ramp and left hand at the same level on the arête. Work your way up the arête with dynamic moves followed by a perplexing top out over the bulging lip.

Located at the far (west) end of the Far Side. Follow the climber's trail down canyon from the Buzz Boulders for a few hundred yards, passing some of the main Far Side boulders along the way. Surprise is a northwest facing overhanging arete with a juggy ramp extending to the right.
