The Zephyr

Named after the legendary roller-coaster at the Pontchartrain Beach amusement park in south Louisiana.

Begin by crimping through a twelve to fifteen or so foot vertical face of gray and tan rock, reaching a position under a roof. Crank through the roof and continue up through a slightly overhanging face thirty or so feet that then leads to a protruding, arete-like feature, bouldering through the final moves on its left to reach the anchors.

Short but terrific climb....physical....overhangs more than you realize. 

Towards the west end of Revelations Wall, just before the trail turns into an uphill scramble, on the right side of the arete over the trail (there is another route on the left side, Angus Minor).  Note that there is a very large dihedral up and to your right as you face the wall in this location....and that there is an unfinished project just left of this large dihedral.  Both this route and the one to the right begin along the same twelve to fifteen foot vertical section and both engage the same roof feature above this height.  The Zephyr is the left of the two, and is the more overhanging through its length.  Angus Minor, further around, is a neighboring route just past these two.
