Eco-Challenge

Description

A great layback crack/corner that can be protected very well.

The moderate grade is unusual for the cliff. Even though it is relatively short, the grade and excellent climbing make this route a classic.

Location

From First Impessions walk right 75 ft and look for a path up a steep bank. This path leads to a short wall with a nice wooded ledge along its base. Eco-Challenge starts at the far left end of the ledge.

Protection

Can be done with a single set of cams and medium size nuts. Double medium cams woud be helpful if you like to really sew it up. Altough the crack is wide at the top nothing bigger than a #3 camalot is necessary.

Currently no anchor of its own (have to ask Justin), so use the nearby top anchor of First Impressions to the left (easily reached and has ramshorns). To save the cliff top vegetation please do not top out.
