Di-Crack Left

FA unknown
CREATED
UPDATED

Description

Interesting three-dimensional climbing.

Start way down at the bottom of a gap between detached rock an main wall. Then up the arete, and finish in the pure corner with the pure crack.

. (

Variation

easier: In the upper section, step right into a broken corner and up that to the top).

Descent: Rappel two-bolt anchor above top of right-hand corner crack.

Or down-climb (first traversing south) as for Top-Rope access, see below.

? Name sounds strange? Still waiting for the FA party so supply their name.

warning

: The rock on and around this route has not been climbed much yet, and much of the rock is still breakable and loose -- so the belayer and other people should stand far away from underneath the climber.

Location

Obvious set of three adjoining corners each with a crack at its top, on the inside curve of the wall, just right of a big outside corner facing right, which is just right of where the base of the cliff goes downward steeply.

Protection

Top-Roping: Can get access to set up top anchor from big tree by first climbing

the route Chasing the Butterfly

, then traverse left ... first up and down into another gully, then across the top of a thick fallen tree-trunk, then exit the gully right on a ledge, roughly horizontal on this until above the big tree, then down to it.

Leading: Protection for Trad leading is unknown.

No fixed anchor or bolts as of 2016.
