Description

You can protect this, I suppose, but why bother? The rock quality is less than stellar, that said, judicious hold selection should make this reasonably safe. Caveat Emptor. This was established as a free solo, so, in order to preserve the experience of the first ascensionists,  it must foreveraftermore be climbed in said fashion. For the most authentic experience you should climb it barefooted. That said, if you choose to break with convention, then you'll just have to work out the pro for yourself. It should be obvious. There are no anchors at the top, but you can easily walk off to climber's R and return by following the white dots up and around returning to the top of the staircase.

Location

The face between Staircase Crack Left and Staircase Crack R

Protection

Possibly.
