Doug Robinson Battles the Hootgoat

FA Mike Strassman, Scott Ayers, Paul Linaweaver, 1991

Description

A very serious lead...named after a silly, pseudo-mythological tale the FAs created involving one of the all-time eastside hero going head to head with the Hootgoat.

Climb up to the thin crack right of the central weakness, to reach a bolt. Very difficult and runout climbing reaches the crack above, where the vertical crack meets the diagonal weakness. From here move up and right, then continue up unprotected face and back left to the top of the buttress

Location

The rightmost weakness on this buttress, which follows thin cracks and face.
