Breakneck

FA TR Ken Roberts

Description

Sustained face climbing with nice "flow".

Start down in the mini-gully between the tree and the rock wall. Straight up to the top.

warning: The rock on and around this route has not been climbed much yet, and much of the rock is still breakable and loose -- so the belayer and other people should stand far away from underneath the climber - (and if possible, behind a large tree).

. . (Lots of vegetation on this rock as of 2016. Be prepared when climbing to navigate around protruding trees and branches, and dealing with holds slippery with grass, lichen, moss, dirt).

. . (The print guidebook 2011 edition by Jon Crefeld has a boulder problem called "Flavor Savor" somewhere around here, but not sure exactly what it is).

Location

On the Right one of the two Beard boulders, on its East face, at big tree next to wall about half-way up steep slope.
